A 10-year-old student in Florida has been arrested after allegedly threatening to bring a gun to school and writing a list of students he claimed he intended to kill. The incident occurred at Pride Elementary School in Volusia County, Florida.

The boy, identified as Micah Swinnie, a student at the school, reportedly used a permanent marker to write a message on a classroom whiteboard stating that he would bring a gun to the school.

Officials also said he left a note on a desk titled “list of people who I’m gunna kill,” which contained the names of three fellow students he allegedly planned to harm.

Authorities said the student was taken into custody and is now facing a felony charge for making a written threat to kill.

A video released by officials showed him in handcuffs being escorted from a police vehicle into a police station, where he was later placed in a holding cell.
