21 Storey Building Collapse, 38 Confirmed Dead

The death toll from the 21-storey building that collapsed in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State on Monday is now 38, 35 males and 3 females, 9 survivors, 8 males and 1 female, while rescue operation is still ongoing.

The Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency SouthWest zone, Ibrahim Farinloye, confirmed this development in the early hours of Thursday.

According to Farinloye, nine persons were rescued from the building, which was under construction.

The death toll as at Wednesday night was 22.

Those confirmed to have died in the tragedy included Onyinye Enekwe, the Personal Assistant to the owner of the property, Femi Osibona, who is also the Managing Director of Fourscore Limited.

Sources has it that,  Enekwe is a graduate of the Nnamdi Azikwe University, Awka, Anambra State.

She is one of the Personal assistant of Femi Osibona.

Onyinye resumed work at Fourscore Limited just a week ago. She was supposedly to get married next month but this incident has made this impossible.
