The Nigeria Police Force in Borno State has confirmed a series of suicide bomb attacks that occurred on Monday at three separate locations within Maiduguri.
According to the police, the first explosion occurred at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital. A second blast was reported at the popular Monday Market, while the third explosion took place at the Post Office Flyover.
Police authorities stated that following the three suicide bomb incidents, their Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was immediately deployed to the affected areas to conduct investigations and carry out clearance operations to ensure public safety.
The command noted that although 23 people lost their lives while 108 sustained injury.
They however revealed that calm has been restored at the affected locations and urged residents of Maiduguri to remain calm while staying vigilant and security conscious.

Authorities say further updates will be communicated as investigations continue.
Meanwhile, residents have been urged to cooperate with security agencies as efforts continue to maintain peace and security in the state.
