49yrs Old British Surgeon Jailed for Fraud After Extreme Acts Linked To His Private Fetish

A 49-year-old NHS vascular surgeon from Cornwall, Neil Hopper has been sentenced to 32 months in prison by Truro Crown Court. He admitted to two counts of fraud and charges related to prohibited online material.

Hopper, once celebrated for overcoming a double leg amputation, was found guilty of defrauding two insurance companies of over £466,000. He had falsely claimed his amp¥tations were caused by illness.

Court proceedings revealed that his injuries were self-inflicted and connected to a hidden obsession. Investigators also uncovered that he engaged with a controversial online network promoting extreme body modification.

Judge James Adkin handed him 22 months for fraud and 10 months for the online offences. The case has left the medical community in shock.
