Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo Unveils Christian Matchmaking Platform with N700,000 VIP plan

Relationship coach and pastor, Kingsley Okonkwo, has launched a Christian matchmaking platform designed to help singles seeking intentional, faith-based marriages connect with potential partners.

Okonkwo, the lead pastor of David’s Christian Centre, announced the launch of Mentor To Marry in a series of posts on X on Wednesday.

The platform describes itself as a guided marriage-preparation and matching community for Christian singles, with annual membership plans ranging from N70,000 to N700,000.

Promoting the initiative, Okonkwo expressed concern over what he described as the growing commercialisation of relationships, saying it had made it increasingly difficult for some young men to find genuine partners.

“I feel for the men of this generation….relationships have been so commercialized nowadays that its almost impossible for a young man to find true love,” he wrote.

In another post, the pastor said the expectations surrounding relationships had changed significantly.

“When we were young, all you had to get was a girls phone number but now all they want to send is their account number, now you are expected to pay rent, school fees and transport before you are taken seriously,” he wrote.

He subsequently encouraged men looking to meet “godly well mentored ladies from all over the world” to consider joining the platform.

However, Okonkwo stressed that the platform was not based on the assumption that women were primarily interested in relationships for financial gain.

“I can assure you that not all women are in relationship for business, there are a lot of good women looking to connect with serious godly men on our platform,” he added.

How Mentor To Marry works

According to the platform’s website, Mentor To Marry places marriage preparation ahead of matchmaking.

Members begin with eight weeks of mentoring classes, assessments and guided reflection before gaining access to matching services, with recommendations and introductions depending on their membership level.

The platform says the process is intended to help singles develop clarity, maturity and accountability before entering marriage.

Its membership is divided into three categories: Regular, Premium and VIP.

The Regular plan, which costs N70,000 annually, includes eight weeks of mentoring classes, assessments and surveys, limited access to profiles, an accountability system, five weekly chats and access to a country-based matching pool.

The Premium plan, priced at N350,000 per year, includes the Regular package, unlimited profile browsing, monthly profile recommendations, priority access to coaches, global profiles, 10 weekly chats and access to private groups.

The VIP plan, which costs N700,000 annually, offers everything in the Premium package, alongside a dedicated matchmaker and coach, priority access to the platform’s founders, 15 weekly chats, off-platform introductions, profile protection and access to global profiles.

Mentor To Marry, however, makes it clear that membership does not guarantee a match, mutual interest or marriage.

The platform is operated by Love, Dating and Marriage Ministries, a non-profit organisation registered in Nigeria, and is open to Christians aged 25 and above.

Members are required to identify as Christians and agree to the platform’s statement of faith and principles on relationships and marriage.

Participants must also be unmarried, divorced or widowed to use its matching services and are expected to provide accurate information about their identity and marital status.

The platform says its approach focuses on Christian values, accountability, relationship education and preparation for marriage rather than casual dating.

It also prohibits sexual harassment, exploitation, abuse, fraud, catfishing, sexually explicit content and financial exploitation.

Kingsley Okonkwo and his wife, Mildred Okonkwo, are listed among the founders, with the platform saying they bring pastoral care and marriage mentoring experience to the initiative.

Beyond simply helping singles meet potential partners, Mentor To Marry says its broader goal is to help people become emotionally and spiritually prepared for the type of marriage they hope to build.

For those not yet ready to pay for membership, the platform also offers a free singles community for people interested in marriage.
