Notorious bandit leader Bello Turji has admitted that he engaged in peace talks with officials from the Zamfara State government during the tenure of former governor Bello Matawalle, now Minister of State for Defence.

While confirming the discussions, Turji denied claims that he received ₦30 million as part of the negotiations. Instead, he has called for the arrest and investigation of those spreading the allegations, insisting that the reports are false.

Turji’s revelation sheds light on the controversial interactions between b bandit leaders and state officials, raising questions about accountability and the handling of security in the region.
