The Nigeria Super Eagles have qualified for the African Cup Of Nations 2024 final in Ivory Coast. In the semi final with Bafana Bafana of South Africa today the match ended with one goal apiece.
Both countries utilised the penalty given to them through the VAR to end the 90mins 1 – 1. In the extra 30mins of play with great opportunities from both sides it went into a penalty shot out.
South Africa finished with 10 men when Grant Kekana was sent off on 115 minutes for a last-defender foul.
Mother luck shined on Nigeria Super Eagles as they scored more goals than the South Africans and defeated them by 4 – 2.
It was a thrilling encounter that one could have taken for the final. As it stands now Nigeria Super Eagles will be meeting the winner of the 2nd semi final between Drc Congo and ivory Coast which is currently ongoing.
