Breaking News, Rtd Air Vice-Marshal Muhammad Maisaka Killed With His Orderly By Unknown Gunmen In Kaduna.

A retired Air Vice-Marshal Muhammad Maisaka have been killed by unknown gunmen at his residence in Ragasi, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Nigeria, was on Tuesday. This was  confirmed by the Kaduna State Police Command.

A message posted on social media by one of his children said,

“Innalillahi wa innailaihir raijun…pls say a prayer for my Dad (Air vice marshal maisaka). He was assassinated at his residence yesterday alongside his orderly.”

Maisaka is known as one of the finest neurologists in Nigeria before he took ill sometime ago, and went to India for treatment.

He returned from India about two months ago.

Reports had it that a threat message was sent to him about two weeks ago which was reported to the security operatives.

 

The spokesperson of the Command, Muhammad Jalige explained that the incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday (today), adding that Maisaka’s gate man sustained injuries from the attack.

In his words, “The corpse have been taken to the hospital and the gate man has also been rushed to the hospital for treatment.”

Before the confirmation of the incident, a source close to the family, Abubakar Gwantu had said: “The armed men arrived Maisaka’s house late yesterday (Monday) night and met him and his wife in the living room and shot him dead.

“The gunmen first visited the boys quarters and picked his physiologist, and they forced him to lead them into the main house. During the commotion, they instantly killed him (AVM Maisaka).”

AVM Maisaka (rtd) was a one-time Director of the Nigerian Air Force Medical Services and an ABU Teaching Hospital Lecturer of Internal Medicine, who helped in producing hundreds of doctors across Nigeria and abroad.

The retired Air Force Officer was the Proprietor and Managing Director of MSK Hospital, a medical facility he was said to have established to help the needy in Rigasa and environs.
