At least four persons have been reportedly arrested for allegedly kidnapping two Catholic Priests at the Saint Vincent de Paul Fier in Kwande, Shendam Diocese of Plateau State.

Frs. Kenneth Kanwa and Jude Nwachukwu were abducted on Thursday, February 1, by some unknown gunmen who stormed the parish.

Confirming their abduction in a statement on Sunday, January 4, parish priest, St. John Mary Vianney, Kwande, Shendam Diocese, Fr. Cornelius Nweke, urged all Catholics to pray for the release of the priests.

However, in a twist of event, four persons said to be members of the church have now been arrested in connection with the abduction. The gang was reportedly led by the Church’s financial secretary.
