Disney’s ‘Zombies’ Star Carla Jeffery Dies At 33

American actress Carla Jeffery, best known for playing Bree in Disney’s Zombies film franchise, has died at the age of 33.

Her death was confirmed by her manager, Carla Alexander, founder of Los Angeles-based Alexanders Talent Management.

Alexander described Jeffery as more than a client, saying the actress had become part of her family.

“Our hearts are with Carla’s family and loved ones during this devastating time,” she said in a statement.

Speaking to KTLA, Alexander said additional details concerning Jeffery’s death would be made public in the coming days. Her cause of death has not been revealed.

Born in Houston, Texas, Jeffery began her acting career at 12 when she appeared alongside Mo’Nique in the 2006 comedy film Phat Girlz.

She went on to feature in a number of Disney Channel productions, including Good Luck Charlie, Shake It Up! and Best Friends Whenever.

Jeffery became widely recognised for her portrayal of Bree in Disney’s Zombies franchise. Her character was depicted as a close and loyal friend of Addison, played by Meg Donnelly.

She also reprised the character in the franchise’s animated spinoff and appeared in other projects, including Disney’s Prom Pact.

Remembering the actress, Alexander said Jeffery was passionate about her career and described her as “a great person”.
