A transgender inmate with a beard has been transferred to a male prison after he allegedly raped a female cellmate.
51-year-old Tremaine Deon Carroll’s removal from the Central California Women’s Facility came after he was indicted on two charges of r+pe and one charge of “dissuading a witness from testifying.”Carroll is now at the male-only facility Valley State Prison in Delano in the U.S.
One of the female inmates Carroll is accused of raping was identified as Jane Doe. She said she was in the shower when Caroll raped and attacked her. The suspect has since been transferred to the male-only Valley State Prison in Delano.
In an interview with the news outlet, Jane Doe said Carroll’s January 2024 assault in the shower was “fully ponotrative”, adding that he was her new cellmate at the time. In the wake of the alleged sexual assault, Jane Doe suffered trauma and could not take a shower for days.
Sources also said Jane Doe became cellmates with the biologically male prisoner and two female inmates after she requested a transfer from her initial cell. Carroll, who has not gone under the knife for sex reassignment, has had stints in prison and is currently serving a 25-year sentence as a result of committing three serious felonies.
Jane Doe also said she had rejected the 51-year-old’s advances when they became cellmates. But Carroll ultimately attacked and raped her in the shower. The female victim said she was alone at the time. Sources also told Daily Mail that Jane Doe was admitted to the hospital following the incident, adding that she underwent a pelvic examination while her arms and legs were chained. Jane Doe following her release was segregated from the other inmates and strip-searched. She was also reportedly not regarded as the victim as Carroll had claimed she had rather raped him.
