Drama As Young Man Dies After Stabbing Himself to Prove Supernatural Powers

A young man popularly known as Sheihu, believed to be in his early twenties, has reportedly died in Ghana after allegedly stabbing himself while attempting to demonstrate what he claimed were supernatural powers.

The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, during a youth-organised programme held as part of activities marking the annual Fire Festival in Salaga, located in the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region.

According to eyewitnesses, Sheihu allegedly used a knife to stab himself before a crowd in an apparent attempt to prove his spiritual abilities.

He sustained severe injuries during the demonstration and was rushed to the Salaga Government Hospital for emergency treatment.

Despite efforts by medical personnel, he was later pronounced dead, leaving residents of the community in shock and mourning.

The incident has sparked widespread concern among residents, with many raising alarm over the dangers of attempting such public demonstrations.

Authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
