Edo Police Officers Run Over A Man Handcuffed With A Car

Nigerians have reacted to a video of some officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for running over a handcuffed man with a Sienna Suv.

It was alleged to have occurred on Thursday in Ekpoma, Edo state.

The bizzare video of a man in a torn white singlet cuffed, lying on the road as passersby tried to intervene to prevent police officers in a Sienna bus from running over him emerged on Twitter in the early hours of Friday.

Nigeria Police spokesman Olumuyiwa Adejobi confirmed the incident.

“This is unpolice. I don’t think a normal human being can do this. To crush a man with a car? This is unbelievable. I have personally contacted the CP Edo on this. We need to take urgent action on the matter. It’s strange to me as a person,” Mr Adejobi tweeted on Friday.
