The alleged bomb explosion in a kano suburb, have been attributed to gas explosion.

Reports from AriseTv said at least four lives have been lost to the explosion.

According to Kano State Police Commissioner Sama’ila Dikko,  the explosion that hit Sabon Gari area of the state,  was gas explosion – not bomb.

The incident occurred near a school, and parents and guardians were running helter-skelter to take away their children from the school premises.

A burnt body of a victim was lying motionless on the ground. Before going to the press the number of casualties are yet to be ascertained.

It was a black Wednesday as a fighter jet operated by the Nigerian Air Force bombed Kunkuna village in the Safana Local Government Area of ​​Katsina State, killing unspecified number of villagers.

Breaking, Chief Justice Of Nigeria, Tanko Muhammad Resigns Amidst Corruption Allegations

Justice Tanko Muhammad, Chief  justice of Nigeria has resigned, according to Channels Television today Monday.

The Source told Channels Television that Justice Muhammad resigned on Sunday night, citing ill-health as the reason for his decision.

Information also has it that arrangements are ongoing to swear in the next most senior justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, as the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria.

According to reports, a formal announcement will be made shortly.

Until his resignation, reports had it that Justice Muhammad was seriously ill.

It would be recalled that last week, 14 justices of the Supreme Court had written him a letter to lament the decrepit state of affairs in the apex court.
