Alex Iwobi, the Super Eagles midfielder, has reportedly been the victim of a traumatic burglary at his home in the United Kingdom, where armed intruders made away with valuables estimated at £500,000.
According to reports, the footballer was confronted by the attackers, who allegedly held him at knifepoint during the frightening ordeal. The assailants are said to have forced their way into the property before thoroughly ransacking the residence.
Among the items reportedly stolen were luxury wristwatches, jewellery, two iPhones, a MacBook laptop, and a substantial sum of cash believed to be around £200,000.
Authorities in the UK have since launched an investigation, as efforts intensify to identify and apprehend those responsible for the attack.
Despite the distressing incident, Iwobi featured for Fulham FC last weekend, helping the side secure a 3–1 victory over Burnley FC in the Premier League.
