At least four Nigerians recruited to fight for Russia in the ongoing war in Ukraine have been killed, according to an exclusive report by Daily Nigerian.

The deceased Adam Anas, Akinlawon Tunde Quyuum, Abugu Stanley Onyeka, and Balogun Ridwan Adisa were allegedly recruited under the guise of a “security job” but were later conscripted and deployed to the battlefield after about three weeks of training.

Anas, Quyuum, Onyeka, and Abubakar Adamu, the only survivor, reportedly travelled together in November 2025, while Adisa was recruited earlier. The Nigerians were said to have d+ed on different dates between December 2025 and January 2026.

Sources told Daily Nigerian that the families of the deceased were not officially informed by Russian authorities. Instead, news of their d+aths reportedly emerged through a secret WhatsApp group used by African mercenaries.

A relative of one of the victims confirmed that the family learned of the death through a colleague of the deceased, rather than from any official source.

The report further stated that the victims were recruited by a Nigerian agent identified as Emiola Muhammad and were issued tourist visas before being deployed to the war front.
