Fuji Musician Obesere Attacked By Thugs In Ondo State

Fuji music star Abass Akande, popularly known as Obesere, was attacked on friday during a burial ceremony in okitipupa local government area of ondo state. a group of thugs suddenly stormed the event, assaulting the musician and creating chaos that forced many guests to flee in panic.

Members of obesere’s band were also assaulted, and some of their musical instruments were destroyed during the attack. one band member was reportedly stabbed while trying to defend his colleagues from the assailants.

A witness, bosede akinyemi, described the incident to journalists, saying, “i attended the event on friday. it was a disgraceful act. a gang of local thugs caused serious disruption, specifically targeting obesere and his band while they were performing for the guests.”
