Ganduje Cannot Command Me – Governor Yusuf

The Kano State governor Yusuf has boldly declared that former APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, has absolutely no authority over him.

“I don’t take instructions from Ganduje. I am the leader of APC in Kano,” Yusuf declared, sending his supporters into wild chants, confusion, and celebration all at once.

Speaking amid rising political tension and defections that have turned Kano into a full-blown political chessboard, Yusuf insisted his move into the APC was not betrayal, but “political survival with foresight.”

According to him, he saw storms forming in his former political home and chose to act early before everything collapsed.

“If we had not moved, millions would have suffered,” he insisted, suggesting his defection was actually a rescue mission disguised as politics.

Critics are already calling the move a betrayal but Yusuf is flipping the accusation right back at them, questioning who first started the trend of political exits without consultation.

“Who informed who before people started leaving?” he fired, turning blame into a political boomerang.

Yusuf didn’t stop there. He escalated the political drama further by boasting about his new political weight inside APC.“APC is now my new territory” he added.

From being “alone” in his previous party, he now says he stands among “over 31 governors” a sign, he claims, of progress, not retreat.

“What exists between me and Ganduje is respect but he cannot instruct me. I am the leader.”

As chants erupted and supporters celebrated, one thing became clear, Kano politics has entered a fresh battlefield where old hierarchies are being challenged, rewritten, and loudly contested in real time.

Whether this is unity or political explosion in slow motion only time will tell.
