“God Will Fix Nigeria Soon” — Methodist Prelate Urges Faith, Patience Amid Economic Hardship

The Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, His Eminence Dr. Oliver Ali Aba, has expressed optimism that despite the nation’s present challenges, God will soon intervene to resolve Nigeria’s problems.

Dr. Aba made this statement while speaking with journalists during the 2025 Christmas Service held on Thursday at Trinity Methodist Church, Lagos. He urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in faith and make themselves available as instruments God can use to bring positive change to the country.

According to him, the birth of Jesus Christ represents hope, reassurance, and renewal, noting that Nigerians should trust in God’s ability to transform the nation’s situation as they wait patiently. He emphasized that divine intervention often requires human cooperation through good conduct, prayer, and commitment to national progress.

The Methodist Prelate also described the current economic hardship as part of a global challenge, citing recent economic difficulties experienced in the United States. He encouraged Nigerians to endure the present stress with faith, expressing confidence that the outcome would eventually bring testimonies of recovery and growth.

Dr. Aba further commended President Bola Tinubu’s administration for its efforts toward addressing Nigeria’s economic challenges, while calling on citizens to support initiatives aimed at restoring stability and prosperity in the country.
