Gunmen Kidnap Catholic Reverend Father Along Enugu Road Despite Army, Police Checkpoints

A Catholic priest, Reverend Father Gerald Ohaeri, has been kidnapped while travelling along the Ugwuogo Nike-Opi Nsukka expressway in Enugu State.

Fr. Ohaeri, who serves at Isienu Nsukka Parish, under Nsukka Catholic Diocese was returning from a function in Enugu on Saturday when he was reportedly kidnapped.

It was gathered that Fr. Ohaeri remains in captivity, and efforts are underway to locate him.
