Usman Abdullahi, 24, from Shelleng LGA, Adamawa State, has revealed that he stole packs of Indomie noodles and shared them among his three girlfriends, but none visited him while he was in detention. Usman, a car washer, vowed to end the relationships once he regains his freedom.

He told the judge, “I stole Indomie and distributed it to my three girlfriends. Since arriving at the facility, none have come to see me. I promise to end the relationship with all of them once I am free.”

Abdullahi was originally sentenced to two years in jail, but the Adamawa State Jail Delivery Committee, chaired by Chief Judge Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman, reviewed his sentence during a visit to Shelleng Satellite Custodial Facility for decongestion. His sentence was reduced to community service at a public facility.

He explained that after stealing the noodles, he fled to Shani, where he was eventually apprehended.
