I’ll Involve Trump If Anything Goes Wrong In Osun Election – Singer Davido Vow

Afrobeats superstar Davido has vowed to draw the attention of United States President Donald Trump to the forthcoming Osun State governorship election if anything goes wrong during the poll.

The singer made the declaration during a live session with comedian Carter Efe, where he expressed his desire to see the August 15 election conducted in a free, fair and credible manner.

Davido, who has been vocal about political developments in Osun State, warned that he would not remain silent if the election is marred by allegations of manipulation or other irregularities.

“I will involve Trump if anything goes wrong in the Osun election,” Davido said.

The singer’s comment comes amid heightened political activities ahead of the governorship election, in which his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, is seeking a second term in office.

Davido has openly supported Adeleke’s re-election bid and has participated in campaigns and public engagements aimed at mobilising support for the governor.

The singer has also consistently called on relevant authorities to ensure that voters are allowed to freely exercise their constitutional rights without intimidation or interference.
