I’ll Work Against You In 2027 – Cubana Chief Priest Tells Peter Obi

Nigerian socialite Pascal Okechukwu popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has declared he will back President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.

The declaration is a sharp reversal from his 2022 remark that “only an Igbo president could fix Nigeria”.

The nightlife mogul declared his support for Tinubu on Instagram after the City Boy Movement (CBM) appointed him as a director in Imo state.

In his post, he framed the decision as a strategic move to fight for south-easterners from within the corridors of power.

But the post drew immediate pushback. One follower asked plainly: “So in simple terms, you are working against Obi in the upcoming presidential election?”

Cubana responded without hesitation: “Yes Oh”.

He clarified that he had supported Peter Obi in 2023.

“Yes oh hope say no be crime cuz I worked for obi last election even as special adviser to An APC Governor,” he wrote.

The declaration also marks a sharp turn from his position just three months ago, when he warned Tinubu that he could not secure 10,000 votes in the south-east unless Nnamdi Kanu was released from detention.
