Pastor Enoch Adeboye, general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has admitted he is not proud of his past, saying his life proves that God can transform anyone. He spoke on day five of the Holy Ghost Congress 2025 at Redemption City, along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State, urging believers to trust in God’s power to change lives.
Adeboye noted that many people never believed he could be saved or go on to become a pastor. “Is there anyone in your family too far gone for God to save? Can’t God turn anyone into a vessel of honour? Many never thought I could be saved, and even fewer imagined I could become a pastor. I’m not proud of my past; if anyone could be bad, I was,” he said.
The cleric used his personal story to inspire attendees, highlighting that no one is beyond God’s grace and transformation.
