IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu Trial Postponed Due To New Amended Charges

Published

on

The trial of the IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu today was  postponed till Wednesday 19th January 2022 due to additional terrorism charges instituted against him by the Federal government.

His counsel Mike Ozokhome (SAN) complained of giving them late notice of any amended terrorism charges. He said that they got the notice for today’s amended charges less than 24hrs before court proceedings. The IPOB leader Nnamdi has not even seen the amended terrorism charges leveled against him.

Ozokhome cries out that this is a technical ambushing, increasing the terrorism charges from six to fifteen with a deliberate attempt to continue to delay the trial of the IPOB leader.
