Just In, CBN Extends Deadline For The Old Naira Swap

Due to popular demands, Nigeria central Bank has extended the last date for the return of all old Naira notes to 10th February 2023.

 

The governor of Central Bank Godwin Emefiele announced this on Sunday.

He had earlier said the January 31st 2023 date would not be changed.

This decision sent panic across the banking sector with most ATMs drying up without cash in the past 48 hours.
