The Buckingham Palace has announced that King Charles 111, has been diagnosed with a form of cancer. They went on to say that the King has commenced treatment for cancer today. It was during treatment for separate benign prostrate enlargement, that cancer was diagnosed.
In a recent hospital procedure for prostrate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was identified. The Palace has not revealed what type of cancer the King has but confirmed that it is not prostrate cancer. They went on to say that King Charles 111 ‘remains wholly positive about his treatment ‘.
The 75 years old King will be stepping back from some duties while Queen Camilla, Prince William and other royals will carry out public engagements but the King will continue his state duties.
Prince Harry who resides in USA is expected to travel to UK to see the King in coming days following the diagnosis of his father.
Get well messages have been coming in just as the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has wished the King a ‘Full and Speedy recovery’ adding that the whole country will be wishing him well’.
Also the UK Labour’s Keir Starmer says ‘I wish His Majesty all the best.
