Man Kills Wife, Commit Suicide In Kenya Over Domestic Fight

A 31-year-old Man Milled His Wife And Committed Suicide In A Village In Kilibwoni, Nandi County, Kenya

Police and locals said Duncan Kimaru, aged 31, first attacked and killed his wife, Hardlight Jelegat, 24, by slashing her head and slitting her throat.

This followed a domestic fight in their house on Monday night, February 9, 2026.

Witnesses said he then left the body of the woman in the house and walked to a nearby dam, where he drowned himself.

His body was retrieved from the dam long after the incident.

The two bodies were moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

Police said they were investigating the incident. Locals said the couple has been having domestic squabbles.

The killer weapon was recovered at the scene.

Police said they were investigating murder and suicide.
