Man Stabs Friend To Death In Rivers Over Missing Phone

A man identified as Michael has been arrested by the Rivers State Police Command for allegedly stabbing his friend, Uchenna, to death over a missing phone.

It was gathered that Michael accused Uchenna of stealing his phone, leading to a heated altercation that escalated into violence.

The incident occurred on Egede Street in the Mile 2 area of Diobu, Port Harcourt, the state capital, on Wednesday.

A source told our correspondent that Michael’s phone went missing during Uchenna’s visit.

The source said, “Michael accused Uchenna of stealing his phone, but Uchenna denied the allegation, leading to a heated argument. As the fight escalated, Michael picked up a jackknife and allegedly stabbed Uchenna in the stomach.

“Uchenna was rushed to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead, while Michael was later arrested by the police.”
