American rapper Curtis Jackson, popularly known as 50 Cent, has shared his thoughts on the challenges of marriage and divorce, describing marriage as one of the biggest commitments a person can make in terms of time and energy.
Speaking on The Raw Life Review Show, the rapper reflected on the difficulties that can arise when marriages break down, particularly when former couples continue to disagree over issues such as child support.
50 Cent described divorce as an exhausting process, suggesting that former partners can become trapped in repeated disputes over financial responsibilities and other matters.
“I have been in child support cases calling multiple times,” he said, while discussing the challenges that often follow the end of a relationship.
The rapper also questioned what happens to the friendship and bond between two people who once considered each other important enough to build a life and family together.
He likened marriage to a contract, arguing that while couples may enter it with certain expectations, those terms can become complicated when the relationship begins to fall apart.
“The person you thought was significant enough to make you significant to other, that’s the only purpose of marriage. Outside of that is a bad contract,” he said.
50 Cent’s comments highlight his view that the emotional and financial consequences of divorce can extend far beyond the end of a romantic relationship, particularly when children are involved.
