NDLEA Chairman Buba Marwa Urges Families To Embrace Home Drug Test Kits

The Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig. Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa (Rtd), has called on families to adopt the use of drug test kits at home as a preventive measure against substance abuse among youths.

Speaking at the Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association (DEPOWA) Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Competition in Abuja, Marwa emphasized that early detection plays a vital role in curbing add+ction.

“Drug ab¥se steals the bright future of our youths. It is not only a personal tragedy but also a national loss,” he warned. “We must remain close to our children, pay attention, and never overlook the warning signs.”

He praised DEPOWA for using sports as a tool to spread awareness under the theme “Live Free, Stay Clean.” Marwa further encouraged schools to establish drug-free clubs, assuring that the NDLEA will continue to support awareness and prevention initiatives across the country.
