NDLEA Nabs Widow Using Fake Pregnancy To Traffic Cocaine

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a 50-year-old widow, Mrs. Ifeoma Ezewuike, for allegedly attempting to traffic 1.3 kilograms of cocaine while disguising herself with a fake pregnancy to evade detection.

Ezewuike, a mother of one and proprietress of Golden Star Creation, a fashion business located on Ago Palace Way, Okota, Lagos, was apprehended on Friday, August 22, 2025, at a bus terminal in Jibowu, Yaba, while on her way to deliver the drugs to customers in Abuja.

A subsequent raid on her residence in the Ago Palace area uncovered 200 grams of a cutting agent used in processing cocaine.

According to NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, Ezewuike admitted during interrogation that she took over the ill+cit trade from her late husband, who d+ed two years ago, despite running her fashion business for two decades.
