National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has seized illicit drugs stashed inside vehicle side mirrors.
Femi Babafemi, the agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, announced the discovery on his X handle on Sunday, cautioning the public to be more vigilant.
The finding is the latest in a series of unconventional methods intercepted by the NDLEA, which has recently found drugs hidden in everything from lipstick tubes and prayer beads to clothes hangers and even dress seams.
The NDLEA has ramped up its surveillance and profiling efforts at all of the country’s entry and exit points.
The agency is sending a clear message to traffickers, warning that its officers are staying ahead of their increasingly desperate tactics.
