The Ogun State Police Command has launched a manhunt for Pastor Onyekachi Okoli according to Punch. The pastor was accused of assaulting a 16-year-old girl during a deliverance prayer session in the Mowe community, Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area.

According to reports, the survivor was invited to a revival program at the Adoration Fire Ministry by Pastor Emmanuel James on September 14, 2024. Okoli, a guest minister from Delta State, allegedly approached the girl two days later, claiming she needed deliverance that could only be performed at his hotel.

Under the guise of performing the deliverance prayer, Okoli allegedly lured the survivor to his hotel room, where he forced her onto the bed and used her. The victim experienced severe pain and significant blood loss due to uncontrollable bleeding.

The police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident, stating that the survivor reported the crime at the Mowe Division on September 19, 2024. Odutola added that Pastor Emmanuel James, who invited Okoli as a guest minister, was unaware of the suspect’s actions.

The police investigation is ongoing, with officers deployed to apprehend Okoli, who has fled to Delta State. Pastor James has promised to present the suspect for interrogation.
