Photos: Emir Sanusi II Leads Traditional Durbar In Kano

The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has led the traditional Sallah durbar, a celebration that followed the Eid prayer and sermon at Kofar Mata Jumu’at mosque, in Kano.

The Emir rode on horseback along the streets of Wambai, Zage, Yan Damadan, and Shahuci, returning to the palace in a grand procession due to flooding at the usual Eid ground.

Governor Abba Yusuf and other cabinet members attended the event with a heavy security presence.
