Imo Governor Hope Uzodimma has donated 32 vehicles and 11 refurbished Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) to the Imo State Command of the Nigerian Police Force in order to bolster security and protect lives and property across the state.

According to the Governor, the provision of the operational vehicles will address the pressing need for improved mobility and operational readiness within the Command.

This was made known in a statement by the State Governor, on Monday June 17.

The statement reads: “In our ongoing efforts to enhance the security of lives and properties across the State. We have delivered 11 refurbished Armoured Personnel Carriers and 32 operational vehicles to the Nigerian Police Force, Imo State Command.

“This addresses the pressing need for improved mobility and operational readiness within the Command, which had been hampered by increasingly dilapidated vehicles, and by refurbishing them, we reaffirm our dedication to equipping the Police with the necessary tools to effectively combat crime and maintain public order.

“I commend the Officers and Men of the Imo State Command for their unwavering dedication to service. Your professionalism and courage are vital to the safety and security of our communities. I urge you to continue in this line of duty with the same level of commitment and integrity.

“The State Government remains steadfast in its support for all our security agencies. We will not relent in our responsibility to guarantee the safety of every citizen by ensuring a safer and more secured environment for all.”
