Some youths staged a protest On Monday, June 10, in Akure, against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for raiding two nightclubs and arresting 127 people.
The raid took place on Saturday, June 8, with the EFCC detaining them over their suspected involvement in internet fraud activities.
Among those arrested was a man who was celebrating his bachelor’s eve with friends at one of the raided nightclubs.
The protesters held placards with inscriptions saying: “Stop EFCC brutality”, “Enough is Enough, free us”, and #EFCC Ng free our people”.
