Police Officer Shoots Self While On Duty In Nasarawa

A police officer, identified as Dogara Akolo-Moses, has reportedly ended it all while on duty in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area.

According to report from Daily trust, the officer was going about his usual duties when he suddenly entered a private room and shot himself.

His colleagues rushed to the scene after hearing the gunshot and found him lying in a pool of blood, with his service weapon beside him.

At this time, the reason behind his actions remains unknown.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of Nasarawa State, Ramhan Nansel, said an investigation is ongoing to determine what led to the tragic event.
