Press Release, BIG-TENT Collaborates With Docs&Medics4Peter Obi Presidential Campaign

BIG-TENT in Collaboration with Docs&Medics4Peter Obi conducted the first in the series of listening clinics for HealthCare Practitioners. This event is meant to give stakeholders the opportunity to contribute to the shaping of the Health Care Policy of the Peter Obi Presidency. Professor Pat Utomi gave an opening remark and welcomed all the attendees.
Dr Uche Uzoukwu who is the National Coordinator of Docs&Medics4Peter Obi gave his opening remarks and pointed out the need for the government to revamp the primary health care sector.
Stakeholders present such as Dr. Okocha, Dr. Osuagwu, Risikat Dosunmu, Dr. Igbodike, Dr. Simpa, and Dr. Esla gave their presentations. Contributions from providers in the diaspora was received by the team and some of the diaspora members who contributed include,

Docs$Medics4Peter Obi will continue to work with all stakeholders (Both national and international) to come up with a framework that the Peter Obi campaign can use as a template to revamp our HealthCare sector. Afterwards, we were asked to wait and join the launching of 40 million ballots vote launching program as further collaboration in future is expected.

Also, the campaign of Peter Obi has reached out to Docs&Medics4Peter Obi regarding actionable items that they want healthcare workers campaigning for Peter Obi to prioritize as the campaign draws closer. We will be reaching out to all our partner organizations to see how we can all continue to collaborate and partner to help the campaign.
