The First Lady Remi Tinubu Has No Place in the Presidency; She Should Focus on Kitchen Duties — Warri High Chief

A Warri chief has sparked reactions after criticising Nigeria’s First Lady, Remi Tinubu, over what he described as her involvement in issues concerning Warri and Delta State.

Speaking during an address, the chief questioned the First Lady’s role in matters relating to the Warri area, arguing that her attention should instead be focused on national challenges affecting citizens across the country.

“The First Lady Remi Tinubu is sitting in Abuja instead of her to be in the kitchen taking care of her husband and interfering in Warri affairs,” he said.

The chief also referenced reports of insecurity in parts of the country, including kidnappings, while questioning what he described as the First Lady’s response to the plight of affected families.

“Children are being kidnapped in Osun State and the northern part of Nigeria. As a mother, she has no feelings. Is that the woman who calls herself a mother?” he said.

He further argued that the First Lady has “no place in the office of the presidency,” insisting that her responsibility should be limited to her family.

“She should take care of her responsibility by taking care of her husband and children,” he stated.

The chief concluded by expressing frustration over what he described as interference in Warri affairs, saying, “We’re not mincing words at this point; we’re tired of the nonsense from the Itsekiris.”
