Veteran Actress Ngozi Nwosu Appeals for ₦30m as She Battles Illness, Faces Three Surgeries

Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has made an emotional appeal for public support after revealing that she has been hospitalised for the past three weeks and urgently needs ₦30 million to undergo three life-saving surgeries.

The celebrated actress shared the heartfelt message in a video posted on her official Instagram page on Thursday, where she appeared from her hospital bed, pleading with fans, friends and well-wishers not to abandon her during what she described as the most difficult period of her life.

Explaining her prolonged absence from the public eye, Nwosu said her deteriorating health had kept her away from work and social engagements.

“My people, my fans and my family, I know that you’ve not seen me in circulation for some time. I’ve been hospitalised now for three weeks. Please, the thing has gone beyond my control. I need your help, don’t let me die,” she said.

Despite her condition, the veteran actress expressed faith that she would recover, while admitting that the pain had become overwhelming and that she could no longer shoulder the financial burden of her treatment alone.

“I know that you people never forsake me and I know that God will always see me through, but I’m begging you, my friends and family, don’t let me die because I am going through a lot, as in pain,” she added.

Nwosu appealed to anyone willing to support her treatment to contact her management team, expressing confidence that she would overcome the health challenge.

“My sickness will never be anybody’s portion. In Jesus’ name, thank you,” she said.

Although she did not disclose the nature of her illness, the actress had earlier revealed that medical specialists recommended three surgeries estimated to cost about ₦30 million.

Widely regarded as one of Nollywood’s most accomplished actresses, Nwosu has enjoyed a career spanning several decades, earning admiration for her outstanding performances in numerous television productions and films.

Her appeal has since sparked an outpouring of sympathy across the entertainment industry, with colleagues, fans and well-wishers calling for financial support to help ensure she receives the urgent medical care she needs.
