Widow of U.S. conservative activist Charlie Kirk, Erika Kirk has broken down in tears while addressing the public for the first time since her husband’s shocking death.

Speaking during a livestream from Turning Point USA headquarters in Arizona, Erika stood beside her late husband’s empty podcast chair, whispering a prayer before thanking first responders who tried to save him, as well as staff and the White House.

Kirk, 31, was fatally shot on Wednesday during a speaking event at Utah Valley University in Orem. Police arrested the suspected gunman, Tyler Robinson, the following day after he surrendered.
