Your Breasts Belong to Your Husband, Not Your Children — Nigerian Pastor Tells Wives

Nigerian clergy, Reverend Mike Babatunde in a semon at Oritamefa Baptist Church in Ibadan has sparked debate online after he made candid remarks about marriage and intimacy.

Speaking to married couples during a church service, Rev. Babatunde emphasised the role of physical affection within marriage, stating that a woman’s body should primarily be reserved for her husband rather than her children.

“You who are married, your breasts belong to your husband, not the children. The children are just borrowing them. The real owner of your breast is your husband,” he told the congregation.

The comments, which have since circulated on social media, drew mixed reactions from listeners, with some expressing discomfort and others interpreting the message as a call to strengthen marital bonds.

Addressing concerns around body image, the cleric also spoke about women who, according to him, avoid intimacy with their spouses out of fear of losing their physical shape.

“You know, I see women, some women say, ‘Ah no, Daddy, I won’t let him touch them because I don’t want to lose my shape,’” he said.

Rev. Babatunde stressed that physical closeness plays a significant role in sustaining healthy marriages, urging couples not to shy away from affection. He added that some women feign ignorance of their husbands’ advances, even when approached intimately.

Concluding his message, the pastor underscored his belief that physical touch is an essential expression of love and connection within marriage, encouraging couples to embrace openness and understanding in their relationships.
