Teen Gunmen Attack San Diego Mosque, Kill 3 Worshippers Before Ending it All

At least three people were killed after gunmen opened fire at the Islamic Center of San Diego in California, triggering a massive law enforcement response and leaving the local Muslim community in shock.

Police confirmed that two suspects, aged 17 and 18, were also found dead from self-inflicted gunshot wounds following the attack at the mosque and school located in San Diego’s Clairemont neighborhood, about eight miles north of downtown.

Among those killed was a security guard whom officials credited with helping to prevent an even greater tragedy during the deadly incident.

Authorities said the guard’s actions played a critical role in limiting the loss of life as chaos erupted inside the Islamic Center.

The shooting sparked panic in the area as heavily armed police officers and emergency responders surrounded the mosque shortly after reports of gunfire emerged.

An imam from the Islamic Center later confirmed that all teachers, students, and school staff members present at the facility during the attack were safely evacuated and accounted for.

Investigators have yet to release details regarding the motive behind the shooting, while authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the attack and the suspects’ movements before the incident.
