You Deserve What You’re Getting From Tinubu’s Government – Apostle Johnson Suleman Tells Nigerians

Apostle Johnson Suleman, the Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, has openly criticized Nigerians for their choices during the 2023 elections, attributing the country’s current economic challenges to poor electoral decisions. Speaking at the Recovery Conference 2025 held in Bauchi State, he expressed disappointment over the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, claiming that the administration lacks a clear vision and has mismanaged critical sectors like oil.

Suleman referenced Tinubu’s controversial “Emilokan” (translated as “It is my turn”) mantra from his 2023 campaign, arguing that such an entitlement mentality should have been a red flag for voters. He stated that the administration’s policies, particularly in the oil sector, have caused significant damage that might take over a decade to recover from.

The cleric urged Nigerians to learn from their mistakes and make more informed choices in the 2027 elections, emphasizing that unless citizens experience deeper hardship, they might not fully understand the consequences of their voting decisions.

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, who hosted Suleman, echoed similar sentiments. While maintaining respect for President Tinubu, the governor criticized the administration’s policies as poorly conceived and potentially harmful. He emphasized the need for reforms that truly benefit the nation and not just a segment of the population.

Both Suleman and Mohammed called for introspection among Nigerians, stressing the importance of accountability and better judgment in future elections.
